I wish there were more magical girls who were poor or lower-class in general, and that that poor background was part of their character. Working hard at her job to pay the bills and keep food on the table, finding creative uses of transformation magic to avoid buying clothes, attempting to pawn magical trinkets, I want it all, comedy and drama alike. Sakura Kyouko was a great start, but I’d love to see more; I think a lot of people would really be able to relate to a magical girl like that!
