lelouch, who uses people and tosses them aside to further his own goals, is fighting entirely for nunnally’s sake and not his own. suzaku, who spouts all this stuff about wanting to save people/believe in them, is fighting to cleanse his own soul. lelouch wants a world that is gentle, and suzaku wants one that forgives him. they coincide but not enough to agree with each other because they are literally reflections of each other, end me right now
